AMAZON Connection in SAP

Integration of all Amazon processes including the data transfer in SAP

The SERKEM solution in detail

AMAZON connection in SAP

Using an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) connection, information can be exchanged electronically between two different companies.

With the SERKEM Add-On “Amazon Integration in SAP,” structured data such as orders or invoices can be transferred between Amazon and the SAP system in this way. Through standardized data transmission, all processes along the supply chain can be processed automatically. This eliminates manual handling, minimizes the risk of errors, and speeds up the process flow.

The following documents or standards are important at the data transfer between Amazon and SAP:

  • ORDERS: Purchase Order
  • ORDRSP: Purchase Order Confirmation
  • DESADV: Advance Shipment Notice
  • INVOIC: Invoice Message
  • SLSRPT: Point of Sale
  • INVRPT: Cost and Inventory Feed
data types

Data Types build the structure of data in message types. They contain elements and attributes of type definitions. Data Types are defined as abstract types in the XML scheme, which are not bound to an element yet.

message types

A Message Type includes a data type, which describes the structure of the message. Because of technical reasons, one data type is not enough to describe the entity of a message. The Message Type defines the root element of a message.

service interfaces

Over the Service Interface processes can be described which are necessary for the subsequent implementation in the application system. The following application scenarios are necessary for a Service Interface: inbound, outbound, abstract.

message mappings

The Message Mappings refer to the message type assignment. The process is supported through a graphical mapping editor.

operation mappings

The Operation Mappings serve for assignment of operations in the Enterprise Service Repository (ES Repository).

If you sell your own products via Amazon, it´s a big advantage to connect the SAP system with the Amazon Web Services. The communication and data flow work automatically over the EDI connection. If you are interested in our add-on solution or if you have questions, don´t hesitate to contact us.
