SAP Just-in-time and SAP Just-in-Sequence
Saving of warehouse capacity and material with JIT/JIS monitors in SAP
The SERKEM solution in Detail
Warehousing costs money, and many companies avoid these costs by only accepting deliveries when they are needed for further processing. By switching to Just-in-Time (JIT) or Just-in-Sequence (JIS), it ensures that only the material
- that is actually needed to fulfill customer orders,
- in the required quantity,
- at the relevant time
is produced and delivered.
Additionally, with JIS delivery, the material is ordered and delivered in the sequence and timeline of the final assembly. This makes the production flow of your company more efficient.
Just-in-time/Just-in-sequence processes require a close cooperation between companies and suppliers. Coordinated production and material flows along the supply chain are necessary, a close cooperation between distributors and customers are a requirement.
- Cost reduction through smarter warehouse and supply processes, lower warehouse, personal and transport costs.
- Increase of delivery performance through a perfect synchronized supply of materials in production and shorter circulation times in the company.
- Security through better and more reliable material supply at saving of warehouse capacities and bounded material.
- Demand-oriented, flexible and efficient disposition and administration of materials and therefore more flexible production and assembly.
- Faster reaction to changing market situations, more flexible production with adjustment to the technical progress.
- Higher productivity and reduction of process times.
- Better service through faster reaction to customer requests.
