SAP Plant Connectivity (SAP PCo)
Integration of technical systems directly in SAP and control out from SAP standard!
The SERKEM solution in detail
In many companies, a material flow computer (MFR) is used for material flow control (MFS). This system typically communicates with the existing programmable logic controller (PLC), often resulting in a lack of transparency and clarity. MFR and PLC are usually tightly integrated. However, when the existing material flow computer needs to be expanded, it leads to high development costs.
Process control with SAP Plant Connectivity (SAP PCo)
With SAP PCo, process control is primarily managed from the SAP standard. This allows technical systems to be directly connected to the SAP system – for example, the MFR can then be replaced by the PLC.
SAP PCo offers high flexibility and can be quickly and easily configured, as it is based on standardized communication interfaces.
